出展者プロフィール / Exhibitor Outline： Bodegas Luzón is one of the main producers and exporters of quality wines from the D.O. Jumilla, and one of its most historic wineries, producing wine since 1841. The winery owns 415 hectares where we find plots over 40 years old, with ungrafted bush-vines in dry-farming vineyards. In addition, we manage 780 hectares of vineyards, controlled down to the smallest detail by our farmers.
We produce wines with our native grape: the Monastrell. It is a variety with a powerful character that results in wines with a notable graduation and that, taking care of the vinification procedures, give us intense, fruity, fresh, and modern wines. Other varieties that we also find in our wines are Garnacha Tintorera, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, in terms of red varieties, and Macabeo (or Viura) and Chardonnay in white varieties.
The elaborations in the cellar are developed in a traditional way and with the minimum intervention to allow the wine to develop its most identifying characteristics. Fermentation in large wooden vats, as well as in 500-litre barrels, are the first steps in an elaboration that will pass through the barrels in our Cathedral and a resting time in the bottle in our Sanctuary.
Caring for the environment is one of the main objectives of Bodegas Luzón, so much so that for a few years we have received the Wineries for Climate Protection certification, which is currently held by only 40 wineries in Spain. 55% of our production is organic and we also have wines without added sulphites that represent our steps towards a greener future.
